Since our last release there is a new interface to Hermes. What it means? We can serve FLEX customers (integration of their own shipping rates into the LetMeShip system) with a higher shipment volume, as the new API is designed for a high volume of shipments and is significantly more efficient. Unfortunately, we cannot offer the Hermes service to our BASIC customers who book on LetMeShip rates. However, thanks to our multi-carrier shipping solution, BASIC clients can select another shipping service provider without changing the shipping interface.
You have your own shipping rates at Hermes and you would like to integrate them in our system? Please contact us!
Do you use the DPD service for shipments to end consumers? Therefore DPD Predict is now obligatory in Germany. When shipping with DPD Predict, you must enter the recipient’s e-mail address. The recipient will receive a notification e-mail from DPD regarding the status of the parcel. If you have not entered an e-mail address on our shipping page, we will ask you to enter it after selecting the service.
The advantage of Predict? The recipient receives full transparency about the status of the shipment and knows exactly when the parcel will be delivered. Recipients can also use live tracking to track the parcel on the day of delivery using an exact map display. If the parcel cannot be accepted at short notice, it is possible to conveniently redirect the parcel to i.e. a parcel shop.
Until now it wasn’t possible to book a pick-up abroad for Saturday or Sunday, because the German working days were offered as pick-up date on the shipping side. This has been changed that the working days in the respective pick-up country are now taken into account.
For example, a pick-up can now be booked for Sunday in Israel, where Sunday is a normal working day.
