20 years of LetMeShip – We celebrated this properly
On 7th February 2020 LetMeShip turned 20 years old. At the hotel A-ROSA in Travemünde the whole LetMeShip team celebrated this special day in twenties style. We had a great party!
We look back on 7th February 2000. Our managing director Mark Winkelmann founded Europe’s first online shipping platform LetMeShip together with his brother and his father on that day. With LetMeShip they wanted to bring transparency into the “shipping jungle” in order to offer business customers a simple and fast shipping process. And they have achieved this. Since its foundation, Mark Winkelmann has been committed to the innovation and uniqueness of the business idea, which has helped LetMeShip achieve successful and sustainable growth in recent years.
A lot has happened in 20 years – not only the design and the user interface has changed, our team and product portfolio have also grown. Today we offer much more than the pure price-performance comparison of all big shipping service providers. Especially the personal contact to our customers and our customer service sets us apart from the competition and it is the reason for the customer satisfaction of 97.8 %. We are very proud of this! In addition to our booking platform DIRECT there is also the web service interface CONNECT (REST-API). With CONNECT we also offer you the possibility to integrate the LetMeShip shipping software directly into your own system. With both shipping solutions you have the possibility to implement your own shipping rates and/or use our shipping rates. This offers you a high degree of flexibility in your shipping process, even across multiple locations.
What are our plans?
We are currently preparing intensively for the future and will soon be one of the most important providers on the market with further innovative solutions and service add-ons. We are looking forward to many more years and satisfied customers where we have been able to optimize processes and create cost transparency.
