Multi-carrier shipping solution provider LetMeShip is relying on Martin Schultz to provide a breath of fresh air in the development department. As the new Chief Technical Officer (CTO) he is leading the LetMeShip develpment department since 1st of April.

Hamburg 21st May 2019 Martin Schultz has spent more than 20 years in various development departments of large companies and start-ups developing and managing a variety of applications and innovative software systems in leading positions. In addition to a broad e-commerce background, which Schultz gained through his work at Telefónica among other companies, he is also one of the first developers in the Apple App Store. At Innogames, Martin Schultz played a major role in the development and success of the company and two of its flagship products. A true veteran of the software/IT world, he is always on the hunt for novelties and has also sharpened his expertise together with Jeff Sutherland, co-founder of Scrum, among others.

With his motto “Even if we digitalise the world, it’s all about people in the end!”, he would like to draw on his expertise to help design and further develop the LetMeShip software for users. As part of his new role as CTO, Schultz will be responsible for all technical product development, DevOps and internal IT infrastructure.

“With Martin, our company has gained a pioneer of the Internet scene. Together, we will continue working on our innovative shipping solutions and create added value for our customers,” says Managing Director Mark Winkelmann. The North German software expert was chosen not only because of his many years of experience and his future-oriented way of thinking but he also greatly enriches the internationally pioneering company from a human point of view.

Martin Schultz:“I am very pleased to be able to work in a company that has grown organically. Corporate culture often suffers from hypergrowth with external donors. This has not happened at LetMeShip as an owner-operated and self-financed company. I see it as one of my tasks to further promote agility in development and to further simplify international shipping with smart thinking and technical innovations. Logistics is a new industry for me – so I am particularly looking forward to getting to know this new industry and moving it forward with our great products.”
