World Mental Health Day: LetMeShip lives an open approach to the topic of mental health

Mental health problems and stress-related illnesses were the third most common cause of sick leave in 2022, accounting for about 15%. Due to the low social recognition of mental illnesses, many keep quiet about such diagnoses. Therefore, the number is probably much higher.

Since 1992, World Mental Health Day has taken place every year on 10 October, initiated by the World Federation for Mental Health and supported by the WHO. The aim is to raise awareness about the various symptoms of mental health disorders and help options, and to create a forum for open discussion. A major topic is prevention, recognising problems in time, taking advantage of offers of help and conversation and, above all, not feeling false shame.

On the occasion of World Health Day, a mental health workshop “Stress management in your daily work life” took place at LetMeShip on 12 October. The focus was on perceiving one’s own limits, recognising one’s own stress type and getting to know suitable prevention techniques. The physical and mental health of our employees is of particular concern to us and we attach great importance to mindful interaction with each other in order to react in time to unspoken limits and warning signals. In addition to workshops, we therefore also offer support with health issues through the Fürstenberg Institute as well as yoga or running training.
