Pallets are usually transported by road, especially when they are being delivered to a neighbouring country. Booking a direct delivery saves a lot of time – no trans-shipment or reloading is involved, the goods are transported directly from the pick-up location to the recipient.

A Euro pallet measures 80 × 120 × 15 cm. It can carry up to 1,500 kg and weighs between 20 and 24 kg. A pallet that exceeds these maximum dimensions is not stackable. In this case, please contact our special service. The loading height of a Euro pallet is between 1.80 and 2.20 metres, and the pallet’s own height of approx. 15 cm is included in the total height.

Full and half pallets

With LetMeShip, you can book both full and half pallet deliveries. A half pallet is suitable if your goods will fit on a wooden pallet measuring 80 x 60 cm. If you need to ship more, you can choose a full pallet, which measures 80 x 120 cm. Choose the one that best suits your needs. The shipping service providers always emphasise that if you want to send parcels, they should be packed securely for transport. Proper packaging protects against shocks during transport and ensures that your parcels arrive undamaged at their destination.

Parcel delivery and secure packaging

This is best achieved with sturdy cardboard packaging, which should be strong enough to protect the contents. Don’t skimp on space here, as you should also wrap the contents with filling material to prevent the goods from sliding back and forth. If you are sending several fragile items in a large parcel, wrap them individually. You could do this with bubble wrap or recycled paper. Seal the parcel with tear-resistant parcel tape, remove any stickers or old shipping labels and attach the new, required shipping documents. Now nothing stands in the way of safe parcel shipping.

Basic insurance is already included when you book your parcel delivery. However, the costs and cover may vary depending on the value of the goods and the shipping service provider. If you are sending parcels with particularly valuable goods, you should definitely insure them additionally.
