How can I book a direct delivery for my company?
A LetMeShip customer account is required. You can register for free and without a contract. Then, using your login details, go to the ‘Shipping’ section and click on the ‘Special’ tab. Enter all the relevant data here. We will then get back to you shortly with a customised offer.
How much does a direct delivery cost?
The prices for a direct trip depend heavily on the destination and whether the goods are small or bulky. A direct delivery always involves higher costs because you hire a haulage company specifically to transport your goods.
How quickly will my consignment be delivered with a direct truck delivery?
A direct delivery always means a shorter shipping time, as your goods are transported directly door-to-door to their destination by lorry. This also applies to shipments to the UK, where trucks also bridge distances by ferry or tunnel. The goods are delivered to various locations without intermediate stops for loading or reloading goods. The delivery time varies depending on the destination country. Only the drivers’ driving times need to be taken into account here, but these are already included in our offer.
Where can goods be transported by direct delivery?
In principle, to all places that can be reached by truck transport from the country of dispatch. If you have shipments overseas, we recommend that you book air freight, as the goods have to be transferred from the truck to an aircraft. Also, check out on our courier services, such as onboard courier and same day delivery.
Is there something like an express direct delivery?
A direct trip is always the quickest solution for transporting bulky products as parcels or consolidated on pallets. We are talking here about a ‘mere’ direct delivery, not about express.
What cannot be sent by direct delivery?
When booking a freight forwarder, the same restrictions apply to the import and export of certain goods. These include narcotics, live animals or weapons and ammunition. Otherwise, there are hardly any limits for direct deliveries.
