Anyone who has sent parcels across Europe over the past few decades will know them: the orange lorries with the three letters, reliably backed up to the loading bay. For many businesses, TNT was a fixture of European shipping for years. On 30 October 2026, we will be retiring TNT as a separate shipping option. Sounds like a farewell? It is – but only to a name, not to the transport routes behind it.
The good news first: your shipments will still arrive. What changes is mainly the logo you see when you book. Why? That’s down to a story that began ten years ago.
2016: When two networks slowly became one
In 2016, FedEx acquired TNT Express. At the time, it was one of the big stories in the parcel industry: the US giant with its worldwide air network bought itself TNT’s strong European road network.
As with any marriage that’s meant to be more than a piece of paper, the real work started afterwards. Networks, IT systems and services were brought together step by step, and TNT’s European road network was woven ever more tightly into FedEx’s global infrastructure.
Today, around ten years on, that integration is largely complete. Two independent networks have increasingly become one joint FedEx offering – and the TNT brand is gradually losing its role as a shipping option in its own right.
Why we’re taking this step now
If the carrier itself has long since grown together, it makes little sense for us to keep listing it separately at LetMeShip. Two names for the same network make choosing at the booking stage more confusing, not easier.
So we’re drawing a line under it – deliberately and with a fixed date: from 30/10/2026, TNT will no longer be a separate shipping option at LetMeShip. At the same time, the name will disappear from our booking form, from our price comparison and from our website.
What changes for you – and what doesn’t
In a nutshell:
- What changes: From the cut-off date, you will no longer find TNT as a separate option when you book a shipment. From 1 November 2026, no new TNT bookings can be made.
- No need to worry about shipments already booked: Everything you have booked via TNT up to that point will, of course, be delivered properly and invoiced correctly. So even a parcel that is still on its way on the cut-off date will arrive as normal.
- What stays: The transport routes and services previously run under TNT aren’t simply vanishing. Many of them will now be bundled under FedEx. Essentially, TNT is moving into the room next door – there’s just a different name on the door now.
- What also stays: At LetMeShip, you can still compare several carriers side by side, including FedEx, DHL Express and UPS, as well as other long-standing partners. You’ll find an overview on our page about the shipping service providers at LetMeShip.
For your day-to-day shipping, that means: you lose one option on the menu, but not a single route.
What you can do now
Three small steps are all it takes for the switch to go without any surprises:
- Check your habits: Do you regularly book with TNT, for example for your European shipments? Then simply compare the FedEx options for the same route next time you book.
- Update your internal processes: Does “TNT” appear in your shipping instructions, checklists or arrangements with customers? Then it’s worth updating those references by the end of October.
- Compare prices and transit times: A change is also a good opportunity to take a fresh look at your standard routes. Our article Standard or express shipping? explains how to go about it. And our page on multi-carrier shipping shows how comparing works on our platform.
Got a question about a particular shipment or route? Our customer service team will be happy to help.
Conclusion: A name goes, the network stays
TNT helped shape European business shipping for decades, and that deserves a brief, sincere thank-you here. The brand merging into FedEx isn’t a break – it’s the final step in a development that began ten years ago.
For you, the most important thing stays the same: your shipment arrives, and you still choose the right carrier from several strong providers.
Or, to put it briefly: we’re saying goodbye to TNT as a separate shipping option – not to the transport routes behind it.

FAQ
Questions and answers on TNT’s goodbye
From when can I no longer book TNT at LetMeShip?
From 30 October 2026, TNT will no longer be available as a separate shipping option at LetMeShip. From 1 November 2026, no new TNT bookings can be made.
What happens to my TNT shipments that have already been booked?
All shipments you have booked via TNT up to that point will, of course, be delivered properly and invoiced correctly. This also applies to shipments that are still on their way after the cut-off date.
Why is LetMeShip no longer offering TNT?
FedEx acquired TNT Express in 2016. Since then, the two networks have been merged, and that integration is now largely complete. A separate TNT shipping option therefore no longer offers you any real added value.
Does this mean TNT’s transport routes will disappear?
No. Many of the previous services and transport routes will now be bundled under FedEx. And at LetMeShip, you can still compare offers from FedEx, DHL Express, UPS and other partners.
What do I need to do as an existing TNT customer?
Simply choose a different shipping option for your next booking – for example FedEx for the same route. It’s also worth checking whether TNT appears in your internal shipping instructions.
